Finding and removing index codes from documents
Once you have marked index entries in a document, you can find and remove their codes using Reveal Codes. For information about Reveal Codes, see “Using Reveal Codes.”
To find an index code in a document |  |

Click View
 Reveal Codes. |
|
2.

|
Click Edit
Find and replace. |
|
3.
|
|
In the Find and replace dialog box, click Match
Codes. |
|
4.
|
|
In the Codes dialog box, choose Index from the Find codes list.
|

5.
|
|
Click Insert and close.
|
|
6.
|
|
In the Find and replace dialog box, click Action
Position before. |
|
7.
|
|
Click Find next.
|
To delete an index code from a document | |
|
1.
|
|
Click View
Reveal Codes. |
|
2.
|
|
Drag an index entry out of the Reveal Codes window.
