Creating and editing index styles
There are predefined index styles within WordPerfect, but you can also create your own styles. In addition, you can edit any predefined or custom styles.
To create an index style |

Click Tools Reference Index.
|

|
Click Define.
|

|
In the Define index dialog box, click Change.
|
4.
|
|
In the Index styles dialog box, choose a level from the Level list.
|
5.
|
|
Choose a style from the Styles list, and click Create.
|
6.

|
In the Styles editor dialog box, type a name for the style in the Style name box.
|
7.
|
|
Type a description for the style in the Description box.
|
8.
|
|
Choose a style type from the Type list box.
|
9.
|
|
Using the Style editor toolbar, apply any style attributes.

You can specify to always display the Generate dialog box when saving or printing a document by enabling the Auto generate check box.

To edit an index style |
1.

|
Click Tools Reference Index.
|
2.
|
|
Click Define.
|
3.
|
|
In the Define index dialog box, click Change.
|
4.
|
|
In the Index styles dialog box, choose a level from the Level list.
|
5.
|
|
Choose a style from the Styles list.
|
6.
|
|
Click Edit.
|
7.
|
|
In the Styles editor dialog box, make any changes to the style.
