Adjusting table column widths
You can specify an exact table column width, change unequal table columns so that they have equal widths, or change table column widths automatically.
To specify an exact table column width |

Select a column.

Click Table Format.
|

Click the Column tab.
|

In the Column width area, type a value in the Width box.

Enable the Always keep width the same check box to maintain the current column width regardless of changes in the width of other columns or changes in the settings of left and right column margins.

To change unequal table columns to have equal widths |
1.
|
|
Select two or more cells from adjacent columns.
|
2.
|
|
Click Table Equal column widths.
|
To adjust table column widths automatically |
1.
|
|
Click in a table.
|
2.
|
|
Click Table Size column to fit.
|

The Size column to fit option changes a table column to the width of the widest text in the column cells.
