Copying, restoring, renaming, and deleting keyboards
WordPerfect allows you to copy keyboards. Copying a keyboard is useful when you want to create a new keyboard that contains keyboard assignments similar to an existing keyboard. You can also restore any of the preset keyboards provided with WordPerfect to their original settings.
You can rename or delete keyboards that you have created. You cannot rename or delete the preset keyboards provided with WordPerfect.
To copy a keyboard |

Click Tools Settings.

Click Customize.
|

|
In the Customize settings dialog box, click the Keyboards tab.

Click Copy.
|

|
From the Template to copy from list box in the Copy keyboard dialog box, choose the template in which the keyboard is stored.

|
Choose a keyboard from the Select keyboards to copy list.
|
7.
|
|
From the Template to copy to list box, choose the template to which you want to copy the keyboard.

8.

|
Click Copy.
|
9.
|
|
In the Copy/Rename object dialog box, type a name for the keyboard in the Object box.

To restore a keyboard |
1.

|
Click Tools Settings.
|
2.
|
|
Click Customize.
|
3.
|
|
In the Customize settings dialog box, click the Keyboards tab.
|
4.
|
|
Choose a keyboard from the Available keyboards list.
|
5.
|
|
Click Reset.
|
To rename a keyboard |
1.
|
|
Click Tools Settings.
|
2.
|
|
Click Customize.
|
3.
|
|
In the Customize settings dialog box, click the Keyboards tab.
|
4.
|
|
Choose a keyboard from the Available keyboards list.
|
5.
|
|
Click Rename.
|
6.
|
|
In the Rename keyboard dialog box, type a new name in the Rename keyboard to box.

To delete a keyboard |
1.
|
|
Click Tools Settings.
|
2.
|
|
Click Customize.
|
3.
|
|
In the Customize settings dialog box, click the Keyboards tab.

4.
|
|
Choose a keyboard from the Available keyboards list.
|
5.
|
|
Click Delete.
|

You can delete only the keyboards you create. Preset or default keyboards cannot be deleted.
