Customizing the application bar
The application bar displays information about the document that is open in WordPerfect. By default, the application bar appears at the bottom of the application window.
You can display or hide the application bar. You can add items to the application bar, and you can change the order in which options on the application bar appear. You can change the size of text on the application bar. The font on the application bar is based on the Windows system font. You can also restore the application bar to its original settings.
The image shows how you can use the application bar to view information about the status of a WordPerfect document.
To display or hide the application bar |

Click View Application bar.

A check mark next to the application bar command indicates that the application bar is displayed.

To add information to the application bar |
1.

|
Click Tools Settings.
|
2.
|
|
Click Application bar.
|
3.
|
|
In the Select items to appear on the bar list, enable the check boxes beside the items you want to add.

To move an item on the application bar |
1.
|
|
Click Tools Settings.
|
2.
|
|
Click Application bar.
|
3.
|
|
On the application bar, drag an item to a new position.
|

You can also move an item on the application bar by holding down Alt and dragging the item to a new position.

To change the size of text on the application bar |
1.

|
Click Tools Settings.
|
2.
|
|
Click Application bar.
|
3.
|
|
In the Font size area, enable one of the options:

Small
|
•
|
Normal
|
•
|
Large
|
•
|
|
If the Small option is grayed, the system font is already as small as it can be.

To restore the default application bar |
1.
|
|
Click Tools Settings.
|
2.
|
|
Click Application bar.
|
3.
|
|
In the Application bar settings dialog box, click Reset.
