Storing label definitions
Label definitions are stored in labels files, which have a .lab extension. A labels file can contain one or more label definitions. You can add label definitions to and delete label definitions from a labels file. For more information, see “To create a label definition” and “To delete a label definition.”
WordPerfect comes with a number of labels files that contain predefined label definitions that you can use in your documents. You can also create your own labels file or edit the name and description of an existing labels file. To use the label definitions stored in a labels file, you need to select a labels file. If you no longer need a labels file, you can delete it.
WordPerfect allows you to specify what labels file is displayed every time you access the labels functionality. This is especially useful if you always use label definitions from the same labels file. Moreover, if your job requires that you often work with a particular label type, tractor-fed labels, for example, you can configure WordPerfect to display that particular label type as the default.
