Arranging items in lists and outlines

You can arrange the items in bulleted lists, numbered lists, and outlines by changing the level and the order in which the items display.

In addition, you can create an outline from text, which lets you apply different levels to text.


To change the level of a list item

Click in the text of an item.

Click one of the following buttons on the property bar:
Promote WordPerfect Office pgx out prom Arranging items in lists and outlines — moves the item to a higher level (less indented)
Demote WordPerfect Office pgx out dem Arranging items in lists and outlines — moves the item to a lower level (more indented)

To change the order of a list item

Select the text whose order you want to change.

Click one of the following buttons on the property bar:
Move up WordPerfect Office pgx moveup Arranging items in lists and outlines — moves the item up one position on the list
Move down WordPerfect Office pgx movedown Arranging items in lists and outlines — moves the item down one position on the list

You can also change the order of a list item by clicking the Show icons WordPerfect Office pgx outshowi Arranging items in lists and outlines button on the property bar, and dragging the symbol for the item up or down.

To create an outline

Click in a document.

Click Insert WordPerfect Office onestep Arranging items in lists and outlines Outline/Bullets & numbering.

Click the Text tab.

From the Text list, choose one of the following options:
Heading
Quotations
Definitions

Click OK.
6.
 
Type text, and press Enter.
