Can I use Microsoft Word macros in WordPerfect?
Answer
No, you can’t use Microsoft Word macros in WordPerfect.
Microsoft Word and WordPerfect have similarities, but they are proprietary applications that are built using different architectures. This makes it difficult to convert all of the elements found in a Microsoft Word document to WordPerfect, including macros. Therefore, you can’t run a macro created in Microsoft Word in WordPerfect.
WordPerfect can, however, open Microsoft Word documents that contain macros, but the macro is referenced as a hyperlink. If you click the hyperlink, nothing happens. To keep the document content, but not the macro reference, you can delete the Microsoft Word macro hyperlink references from the WordPerfect document.
